Blessings and Curses

(speak or read these scriptures aloud daily)

Blessings(Leviticus 26)

We follow the Lord's decrees and are careful to obey His commands, so the Lord sends us rain in it's season, and the ground always yields it's crops and the trees of the field their fruit. Our threshing continues until grape harvest and the grape harvest continues until planting, and  we eat all the food, we want and live in safety in our land.

The Lord has granted peace in our land, and we lie down and no one makes us afraid. The Lord removes the savage beasts from our land, and the sword will never pass through our land. We pursue our enemies, and they fall by the sword before us. Five of us chase a hundred, and a hundred of us chase ten thousand and our enemies fall by the sword before us.

The Lord looks on us with favor and makes us fruitful and increases our numbers, and He keeps His covenant with us. We are still eating last year's harvest, when we have to move it out to make room for the new. The Lord has put His dwelling place among us, and He will never abhor us. He walks among us and He is our God, and we are His people - Leviticus 26:3-13(NIV)

Curses

But if we do not listen to the Lord and carry out all these, and if we reject His decrees and abhor His laws and fail to carry out all His commands and therefore violate His covenant, then all these curses will come on us.............................................................................. - Leviticus 26:14-33(NIV)

Blessings(Deuteronomy 28)

We fully obey the Lord our God and carefully follow all His commands, that He has given us, and so the Lord our God has set us high above all the peoples on earth. And all these blessings have come upon us and accompany us, because we obey the Lord, our God.

We are blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

The fruit of our womb, is blessed, the crops of our land, the young of our livestock - the calves of our herds and the lambs of our flocks.

Our basket and our kneading trough are blessed.

We are blessed, when we come in and blessed when we go out.

The Lord has granted, that the enemies, who rise up against us, are defeated before us. They  come at us from one direction, but flee from us in seven.

The Lord has sent a blessing on our barns and on everything we put our hand to. The Lord,  our God has blessed us in the land, that He gave us.

The Lord, has established us as a holy people, as He promised us on oath, because we keep the commands of the Lord our God and walk in His ways. Then all the peoples on earth, now see, that we are called by the name of the Lord, and they are afraid of us. The Lord,  has granted us abundant prosperity - in the fruit of our womb, the young of our livestock and the crops of our ground - in the land, He swore to our forefathers to give us.

The Lord, has opened the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, and He sends rain on our land in season and blesses all the work of our hands. We lend to many people, but never borrow from anyone. The Lord has made us the head and not the tail. And because we pay attention, to the commands of the Lord our God, that He gave us and carefully follow them, we will always be at the top, never at the bottom. And we do not turn aside from any of the commands, that He gave us, neither to the right nor to the left, following other gods and serving them - Deuteronomy 28:1-14(NIV)

Curses

However, if we do not obey the Lord, our God and do not carefully follow all His commands and decrees, that He has given us, all these curses will come upon us and overtake us........................................................................................................... - Deuteronomy 28:15-57(NIV)

Blessings(Psalm 91)

We dwell in the shelter of the Most High, and so rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

And we say, the Lord  is our refuge and  fortress, our God in whom we trust."

Surely, the Lord saves us from the fowler's snare and the deadly pestilence.

He(God) covers us with His feathers, and under His wings we take refuge; His faithfulness is our shield and rampart.

We never fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

A thousand may fall at our side, ten thousand at our right hand, but it will never come near us.

We only observe with our eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

Because we have made the Most High, our dwelling - He is our refuge - and so no harm will befall us, no disaster will come near our tent.

For the Lord has commanded His angels concerning us, to guard us in all our ways; they lift us up in their hands, so that we will never strike our foot against a stone.

We tread upon the lion and the cobra; and we trample the great lion and the serpent.

And because we love the Lord, He rescues us; He protects us, for we acknowledge His name.

We call upon the Lord, and He answers us; He is with us in trouble, He delivers us and honors us.

With long life, the Lord has satisfied us and shown us His salvation." - Psalm 91:1-16(NIV)
